Sketches of da dayyy! :D

This sketch was done inspite of the wonderful fashion displayed in Chicago. My friend and I had enough time to wander over to the brilliant Magnificent Mile. We shopped til our asses dropped into the nearest restaurant (which happened to be the coolest local bar ever!). We were able to make our way to the fabulous Forever XXI, and buy a handful of items. If I could have, I would have definitely stayed for the fashion show. Allie and I were jealous of the people who got to watch it as we stood in Millenium Park and watched them set up the show. So sad, too bad.

This sketch was drawn during my lunch break while I sat on the grass eating Cosi and drinking pomegranate lemonade. It's a sketch of Millennium Park from the lawn view. There were a few people sitting on the benches talking and of course the large stone buildings weren't up and running yet because it was midday. I drew the buildings in the background but decided to kind of blur it out with the contrast of the light because they weren't as good as my foreground (not saying my foreground is good ha).

I did this collage/sketch inspired by a homeless woman on the streets. She had the the features and potential of a beautiful woman, and she was singing for pennies. I just enhanced her dream of becoming a "rock-star" by making this collage over the sketch I had initially drawn of her. If only she had a little bit more intuition and stamina to actually go after those dreams and set a goal for  herself.
